The Australian Ladies Fly Fishing Team were presented with their team blazers at the joint Fly Fish Australia / Casting for Recovery fundraising event held at Penstock Lagoon on Sunday 24 April 2022. The team will compete in the inaugural Ladies World Fly Fishing Championships in Norway in July. Team members present included Karen Brooks (Captain), Jane Forster, Julie Butler, Marian Miller and Julianne(Jules) Stevens (Team Manager and Reserve). Casey Pfeiffer was not able to attend. Martin Droz who is the team Coach was presented with a team shirt. The event involved the team members and other boat owners providing opportunities for attendees to fish Penstock throughout the day. The weather was fantastic and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves including a delicious lunch provided by the team. Representatives from Mending Casts Inc were also in attendance.

Thank you to those who attended and supported both the National Ladies Team and Casting for Recovery.   The event raised over $5,000 which is an amazing outcome.
 

A special "Thank you" goes to Peter Brooks, Malcom and Kaylene Crosse and their grandson Aiden for their support in making this event such a success. We wish the team every success in Norway.
